“A gorgeous pinot noir with bright Bing cherry fruit, herb and pepper. The high-toned tangy fruit is knockout and will cut through the rich flavors of the meat. Lingering finish.” ~ Peg Melnik, The Press Democrat

Bucher Vineyard, Russian River Valley

92 points ~ Pinotfile, December 25, 2016

“Aromas of black cherry, spice and mulch open the way for flavors of dark Bing cherry, spice and cola robed in silky tannins. Good vibrancy, with a little more mid palate intent and finishing power . . .Very RRV in character.”

91 points ~ Purely Domestic Wine Report, March 2017

“The nose is a smoke-laced mineral and dry, firm dark berry, herb and graphite. The palate is piquant red raspberry with undertones of violets and a finish of firm red fruit texture.”

2015 Unoaked Chardonnay
Russian River Valley

93 points ~ Pinotfile, December 25, 2016

“The scent of tropical fruits, lemon oil and butterscotch lead off. Highly flavorful, with layers of lemon, pineapple, crisp apple, and honeydew melon goodness in a superbly balanced wine that is slightly creamy in the mouth and finishes with some purpose. I am not usually a big fan of unoaked Chardonnay, but I found this wine to be extremely inviting. ”

4 1/2 Stars ~ Wines of the Week, The Press Democrat, 4-19-17

“A tropical Chardonnay with notes of pineapple, papaya and mango. Its lush texture is balanced with its bright acidity. Lingering finish. Top rate. Well crafted.”

Bucher Vineyard, Russian River Valley

92 points ~ PinotReport, 4-15-15

“Medium-deep ruby color; complex ripe cherry and earthy aromas with some oak notes; deep, rich, red cherry and berry flavors with earthy and herbal notes; good structure and balance; long finish. Ripe, earthy Pinot with nice structure.”

“Since planting in 1997, Bucher Vineyard has been a renowned source of Pinot Noir for exceptional local wineries. Now the Bucher family is making their own wine, with good results. The wine is dry, fresh and keen in acidity, and has considerable weight, with ripe, forward raspberry, cherry, bacon, sautéed wild mushroom and exotic spice flavors. Cellar Selection.

94 points ~ Bacchus & Beery, 1-14-14

“A very complex Pinot Noir that held my attention. A deeply rich nose of blueberry, blackberry and campfire smoke. A lush mouth-feel with food-pairing acidity (I preferred to contemplate it on its own). Developed flavors of black cherry and blueberry with a touch of earthiness. Notes of ripe raspberry and cola in the long finish. Very small production at a good price. Buy this wine while you can.”

91 points ~ Purely Domestic Wine Report, 5-14

“A balanced and engaging nose of rose petal, earth and blueberry. The palate is firm, direct and polished slate, herb and dark cherry. Supple spice on the finish with notes of blackberry.”

“Hard to believe this is the initial winemaking effort from this renown vineyard used by many respected Pinot producers. Aromas of blueberry with hints of cinnamon and earthiness. Rich flavors red cherry, ripe strawberry and blueberry with subtle notes of terroir, brown and cinnamon spice. Soft on the palate with balanced acidity.
A touch of leather and espresso in the finish.”

2012 Pinot Noir
Three Sixty
Bucher Vineyard, Russian River Valley

93 points ~ Wine Enthusiast, May 2014

“The vineyard, founded in 1997, is familiar to Pinot lovers through its bottlings from Williams Selyem. Located in the heart of the valley’s Middle Reach, its wines are softer, riper and fuller-bodied than those from the cooler south. With this bottling, the Bucher family has produced an ageworthy wine that amply displays the vineyard’s terroir. The raspberry and cherry fruits are wrapped into firm tannins, with new French oak bringing sweeter notes of toast and caramel. Cellar Selection.

93 points ~ Bacchus & Beery, 1-14-14

“A wonderful Pinot that is drinking well upon release with a short decant, only to get even better with time. A lush nose of dark cherry with hints of cinnamon and allspice. Created with Siduri winemaker Adam Lee, the wine has a round mouth-feel while retaining it’s juicy acidity. Bright fruit flavor with integrated notes of cherry, strawberry and raspberry with definite minerality and brown spice. The flavors remain vibrant in the very long finish.”

The World of Pinot Noir ~ Best in the U.S.
Piedmont Post – The Wine Corner, 7-23-14

“Right in the Westside Road heartland of the famed Russian River Valley pinot territory, the Bucher family runs an organic dairy and farms pinot noir. This wine has the classic richness and power of the famous neighbors Williams Selyem and Rochioli. It is beautifully perfumed with loads of berry and plum fruit and a nice touch of tobacco and earth. This powerful wine will improve with cellaring and should last up to a decade.” ~ Pierre DuMont

“Wild in barely ripe strawberry, grapefruit and a hint of mint, it hails from great ground, the Bucher Vineyard along Russian River Valley’s Westside Road. A tinge of orange blossom and orange playfully intermingle on the nose and on the palate. Midweight and layered, it’s a lovely wine.” ~ Virginie Boone
